Oven-baked sugar shack omelette

Ingredients

  • 8 eggs
  • 125 mL (1/2 cup) milk
  • A pinch of nutmeg
  • 80 mL (1/3 cup) Selection maple syrup
  • 5 mL (1 teaspoon) Selection butter
  • 5 to 6 slices cooked Selection bacon

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 190 oC (375 oF).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk the eggs with the milk, nutmeg, and half the maple syrup.
  3. Pour the egg mixture into a greased square baking pan.
  4. Bake in the oven for 22 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, roughly chop the bacon.
  6. Remove the omelette from the oven, garnish with the bacon and drizzle the remaining maple syrup on top.
  7. Cook in the oven for another 3 minutes.
  8. Serve.
