Apple and maple tart

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of French bread
  • 30 mL (2 tablespoons) Selection butter
  • 250 mL (1 cup) Selection unsweetened apple sauce
  • 250 mL (1 cup) Selection medium sharp cheddar, shredded
  • Maple flakes to taste

Preparation

  1. Set the oven to broil.
  2. Toast and butter the bread.
  3. Add the apple sauce on top of each toast. Top with cheese.
  4. Place on a baking sheet and broil for 1 minute.
  5. Sprinkle maple flakes on top and serve hot.
