Butternut squash gratin

Butternut squash gratin
Servings: 4 to 6 servings
Preparation time: 35 minutes
Ingredients
- 5 mL (1 teaspoon) Selection butter
- 1 medium butternut squash, peeled, emptied, and thinly sliced
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 250 mL (1 cup) Selection 35% cooking cream
- 1 mL (1/4 teaspoon) ground nutmeg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 mL (1/4 teaspoon) Selection garlic powder
- 60 mL (1/4 cup) cold water
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 190 oC (375 oF).
- In a lightly greased square baking pan, layer the squash and onions.
- Combine the cream, seasoning, and water in a bowl.
- Pour into the baking dish.
- Bake in the oven for 25 minutes.
- Let cool for 5 minutes and serve.
